Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information WUTCARD ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using WUTCARD you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information — your name (optional), handle, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
Payment information — when you buy a card or subscribe, payments are handled by Stripe. We don't store your full card number; we keep limited records such as a customer reference and order status.
Cards, notes, and recipients — the cards you collect and send, the notes you attach, and the contact details (email or phone) you enter to deliver a card. If you send anonymously, we keep the sender details but hide your name from the recipient.
Usage data — basic technical and analytics data (such as device and interaction data) that helps us run and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and secure the Service, deliver cards and notifications, process payments, prevent abuse, respond to you, and improve WUTCARD. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers we share with
We share data with providers who help us operate WUTCARD, only as needed: Stripe (payments), Postmark (transactional email), Twilio (SMS delivery, where used), and our hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We may also disclose information where required by law.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as light or dark mode. Analytics may use cookies to understand aggregate usage.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including hashing passwords and encrypting traffic. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
8. Children
WUTCARD is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll revise the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
10. Contact
